BACOLOD City – About 220 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,496,000 was seized in a buy-bust at Barangay Mangnao, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental Wednesday, amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) brought by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Police arrested Ronald Ordonia, 41, of Siaton town.
According to a report from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo), the suspect is a high-value target.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7.
Recovered from the suspect were the P1,200 marked money, P1,556.25 cash, and 42 sachets of suspected shabu.
Ordonia is facing charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
