BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has once again thwarted the disposal of illegal drugs for this year’s MassKara Festival, following the seizure of about 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.2 million in a buy-bust at Barangay 6 here Friday.
Police Colonel Henry Biñas, BCPO director, said the recent confiscation stemmed from their intensive monitoring of drug personalities in the city.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested yesterday Clint Agsam Jr., and Paulo Bersuela for the recovery of 34 sachets of suspected shabu, and the P1,000 marked money.
Biñas said they received information that some drug personalities are having big supply of drugs to be sold in the festivity. Thus, they decided to conduct the operation against the two identified drug suspects.
Biñas said both suspects will be charged for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
This week, the BCPO has seized more than P2.8 million worth of drugs in several buy-bust operations since October 8.
