BACOLOD City – Police are investigating deeper into the seizure of around 151 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,025,000 Tuesday which was allegedly sourced from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
Arrested during the operation was dance instructor Arjon Ramos, 27, of the said village.
Police Captain John Christopher Masangkay, head of Police Station 5, said they conducted the buy-bust against Ramos at Purok Gonzaga, Barangay Taculing here, following a drug bust in the said area last month which led to the confiscation of around P700,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Masangkay said Ramos was an alleged “bodegero” or keeper of the illegal drugs.
“Daw bag o na siya guro na part sang group, new profile, kay wala man siya record and wala man siya sa drugs watchlist,” the station commander added.
Police also recovered from Ramos the P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia.
Masangkay said the contraband was sent here through a courier and was allegedly distributed to various areas here.
Masangkay said Ramos admitted to the police his engagement in the illegal drug trade but did not disclose how long he’s been in the business.
Drug charges are being readied against Ramos who is detained at the police station.
