ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A businesswoman from Ozamiz City was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police Thursday afternoon, May 21, in Barangay Baybay here.
Police identified the suspect as “Loren,” not her real name, 50, single, a temporary resident of Barangay Baybay, Roxas City, and a native of San Juan Dos, Lapasan, Ozamiz City.
She was arrested by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City Police Station in Barangay Baybay around 4 p.m.
Police said the suspect was classified as a street-level individual and was included in the Provincial Priority Target List dated April 27, 2026.
Recovered from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 13,600.
Police also recovered PHP 500 in buy-bust money, a coin purse, and a black sling bag allegedly used in illegal transactions.
The suspect is under the custody of the Roxas City Police Station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against her.
