BACOLOD City – Nineteen persons were arrested while P409,012 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from Dec 15 to 24, 2021.
In Negros Occidental, P211,912 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from 14 persons.
The operations were conducted in the cities of Himamaylan, Silay, San Carlos, Talisay, Escalante, and Kabankalan, and the town of Binalbagan.
For Bacolod, five persons were apprehended for the recovery of P197,100 worth of the said contraband.
Police launched the operations in Barangays Alangilan, 2, 16, and Singcang-Airport.
The biggest drug haul in the province was reported in Silay City on December 21, with the seizure of P68,000 worth of suspected shabu, and Barangay Alangilan here with P81,500 worth of the said contraband on December 25.
