More than 2,000 employees of the Iloilo City Hall tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the City Health Office (CHO).
Based on the results released by the CHO from Sept 23-25, 2020, a total of 2,165 City Hall employees have yielded negative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results.
On Sept. 23, CHO recorded 713 negative results. The following day, 959 out of the 1,151 test results were negative while on Sept. 25, another 493 out of the 528 results were also cleared of SARS-CoV-2, which causes the disease.
The results were based on the three-day massive testing conducted at the Iloilo City Hall last week.
The building was also shut down for three days last week following the surge in COVID-19 cases at the City Treasurer’s Office.
More than 2,000 City Hall employees and officials were subjected to swab testing.
As of Sept. 30, COVID-19 cases at the City Hall jumped to 124 while the remaining results have yet to be released by the CHO.
On Monday, the City Hall reopened but only employees with negative test results were allowed to report. (ERS)
