The Private Electric Power Operators Association (PEPOA) will hold its General Membership Meeting on September 10–12, 2025, hosted by MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power).
Themed “Embracing the Future: Integrating Smarter Energy Innovation,” the event will gather more than 100 executives and stakeholders to discuss smart metering, renewable energy, and other technologies for reliable and sustainable electricity.
A key highlight will be the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) public consultation on September 11 at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICON).
ERC Commissioners Floresinda B. Digal, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes, Amante A. Liberato, and Paris G. Real will meet with private distribution utilities to tackle regulatory measures that promote sustainable energy while protecting consumers.
PEPOA is a nationwide organization of privately owned distribution utilities franchised to operate electric systems across the Philippines.
The group works to uphold service standards, foster cooperation among utilities, and partner with government to address industry challenges.
“This forum is a powerful convergence of minds with a mission where every idea and decision will spark solutions,” said Roel Castro, president of MORE Power.
“Through embracing smarter energy innovations today, we are lighting the way for the next generation,” he added.
“If we unite as one energy family, we can illuminate not just homes and industries, but the nation’s future,” Castro said.
Under the leadership of PEPOA President Atty. Ranulfo Ocampo, the association continues to shape policies and initiatives that strengthen private utilities’ service, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
