The Orlando Magic endured another stellar scoring performance from Stephen Curry, edging the Golden State Warriors, 121-113, during an inter-conference NBA matchup on Nov. 19, 2025.
Curry once again entered an unconscious state after dropping 34 points built from seven three-pointers, but Orlando’s balanced offensive attack proved to be just enough to shadow the superstar point guard’s scoring eruption.
To counter Curry’s waxing-hot hands, the Magic decided to fight fire with fire, receiving double-digit scoring performances from six of their players, led by Desmond Bane, who finished the game with 23 points.
High-octane action immediately treated the fans who flocked to the Kia Center in Florida, as both squads combined for 68 points after the first 12 minutes of action.
Despite Golden State already scoring well past their first-quarter offensive average with 32, the Magic did more, courtesy of Bane’s early shooting clinic that put Orlando up by four points.
Golden State nearly stole the momentum in the second frame when Jimmy Butler put on a show with his signature foul-baiting exhibition, but the duo of Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs shrugged off a slow opening-quarter performance and scored the last 11 points for the Magic.
Steve Kerr tried to slow down Orlando’s inspired shooting by deploying a mixed filled-zone defense, but little did they know that the Magic came prepared and resorted to post touches for Wendell Carter Jr.
The versatile big man operated in the shaded lane when Wagner, Bane, and Suggs got locked up on the perimeter, feasting inside through several high-low plays.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, Orlando swelled their biggest lead of the ball game to 15 points when Curry took a short breather on the bench.
The Magic also tightened their defensive areas as soon as he got back in the game, forcing the Warriors to let Butler dictate the tempo—a poison they were ready to pick over Curry’s clutch prowess.
Backstopping Bane in the scoring department was Anthony Black, who tallied an all-around effort of 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Meanwhile, the trio of Wagner, Carter Jr., and Suggs chipped in 18, 17, and 13 markers, respectively.
On the other hand, the combined 67-point scoring effort from Curry and Butler wasn’t enough to lift Golden State out of the mud, and they will seek to rebound today against the Miami Heat.
