BACOLOD City – An online seller was arrested after police seized from her 51 grams of suspected shabu worth P346,800 in a buy-bust operation at her boarding house in Purok Ylac, Barangay 1 here yesterday.
The subject was identified as Lyna Mabunay, 33, of the said village.
Police Lieutenant Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said that Mabunay is a high-value individual considering the volume of the drug recovery.
Mogato said that she is included in the CDEU’s list of drug personalities here.
Also recovered from her were the P2,000 marked money, and P500.
Mogato said that Mabunay’s common-law husband was jailed for a drug offense in 2019 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
He said that Mabunay allegedly gets the supply of illegal drugs through her common-law husband’s contact.
The illegal drugs were believed to be sourced from outside Western Visayas, the CDEU head said.
Mabunay will be charged for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs. She is detained at Police Station 2.
