ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An Aklan native wanted for illegal gun possession was arrested by police while trying to secure a clearance at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office Wednesday morning here.
The Roxas City police and 602nd Maritime Police Station nabbed Alberto Rufo, 45, of Barangay Naga, New Washington, Aklan.
The suspect is wanted for violations of Presidential Decree 1866 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) and the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban.
He is presently detained at the Roxas City police station for failure to post the P63,000 bail recommended by the court.
