ROXAS CITY, Capiz One person died while another was wounded after a motorcycle crashed into an owner-type jeep Sunday afternoon at Sitio Kalye 13 in Brgy. Bailan Pontevedra, Capiz.
Peter Diaz, 36, of Sitio Banta-aw, Barangay Cogon, Panit-an, Capiz died at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital here. His back rider, Jonathan Bala, 37, of Barangay Sublangon, Pontevedra, was wounded.
According to Police Corporal Gerald Dellomos, Pontevedra PNP chief, the victims motorcycle crashed into the owner-type jeep when it swerved to the opposite lane.
The driver of the jeep, Jay Lord Olandres, 44, of Brgy. Balaring Ivisan, Capiz, immediately surrendered to the police.
The victims came from a birthday celebration when the accident occurred.
