ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man was killed while another was injured after they were stabbed and hacked by a farmer Wednesday night at Barangay San Rafael, Dumalag, Capiz.
Police identified the fatality as Niño Bacularin, 30, while his colleague Ramil Biaco, 40, was injured. Both are from San Rafael village.
Police Corporal Christopher Padilla of Dumalag Municipal Police Station said the victims were having dinner in a house where they both stayed when suspect Hernan Fantinalgo Sr., 44, passed by and berated them.
A heated argument ensued between the victims and the suspect.
Bacularin went out of the house with a bolo while Biaco followed.
But Fantinalgo hurriedly went home and later returned with a bolo. He then stabbed and hacked Biaco’s right hand and head.
Bacularin tried to run away but the suspect also hacked him, resulting in his death.
Fantinalgo voluntarily surrendered to the Dumalag Municipal Police Station.
