ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One died while another was injured when their motorcycle collided with a truck Saturday afternoon at Barangay Sta. Fe, Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as Lino Borbon, 19, who died while being treated in a hospital.
Borbon’s back rider, Fred Alonzo, 18, was seriously wounded.
They are both residents of Barangay San Esteban, Pilar town.
According to Police Corporal Herbert Dela Vega, Pilar Municipal Police Station investigator, the two were on their way to Poblacion Pilar on a motorcycle. They suddenly turned left and crashed into a ten-wheeler truck driven by Benjie Subiage, 39, of Barangay Carmencita, President Roxas.
Borbon succumbed to fatal injuries in different parts of the body and died few minutes later.
Subiage voluntarily surrendered to the police.
