ROXAS CITY, Capiz — One person was killed while another was seriously wounded when two single motorcycles collided Thursday night in a road project at Brgy. Tugas, Mambusao, Capiz.
Police identified the fatality as Jeffrey Abanes, 30, of Brgy. Mangoso in Sigma, Capiz.
Investigation by Police Staff Sergeant Ryan Villas of Mambusao PNP indicated that the incident happened around 6:45pm while Abanes was on his way to Sigma town on board on a Yamaha motorcycle when he crashed into another motorcycle that was going to Mambusao.
An employee of a motorcycle company in Mambusao, Abanes was taken to Mambusao District Hospital for treatment, but he was declared dead at around 8:31 pm.
The driver of the other motorcycle was taken to Sen. Gerry Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao, Capiz.
According to the police, the other victim has yet to be identified and presently in stable condition on the said hospital.
