One killed, another hurt in lightning strike

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person died while another was injured in a lightning strike Saturday at Barangay Malocloc Sur, Ivisan, Capiz.
Police identified the fatality as Frederick Medalla, a native of Quezon province but married to a woman from Ivisan.
Medalla came from a fishpond with Fredy Uadan and Danilo Macato when lightning struck them amid heavy rains.
Medalla and Uadan were hit while Macato was unscathed.
The two were immediately brought to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital but Medalla died hours later.
Uadan is still confined in the same hospital.
