A MULTI-CAB driver died while five other persons were wounded in a collision on Feb. 4, 2019 in Nabas, Aklan.
Jonald de Asis, 29, of Barangay Gibon, Nabas, died after the vehicle he drove collided with a van at Barangay Buenasuerte around 12:35 a.m. Monday.
The accident also injured de Asis passengers Nomer Solanoy, 48, and Jermie Barrientos, both residents of Barangay Nagustan, Nabas.
Also wounded were Vanessa Cayang, 34, a resident of Boracay Island, Malay; and Korean nationals Eunna Lee and Jaehoon Han.
The three women are passengers of a van driven Redzel Bedonar, 38, of Toledo village, Nabas.
De Asis multi-cab was on its way to Kalibo town while the van was to ferry Korean nationals to Boracay Island when the incident happened.
The victims were rushed to Ibajay District Hospital while Bedonar is now behind bars.
