One hurt in Roxas City fire

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A senior citizen was hurt when a fire razed his house on Friday at Sitio Nasagud in Barangay Lanot here.

The police identified the victim as Nelson Sario who suffered second degree burns in his body and is presently confined in a hospital here.

According to FO3 Jonel Cortez of the Roxas City Bureau of Fire Protection, Sario’s house was burned to the ground while a neighboring house was partially damaged in the conflagration.

Based on the initial investigation of the BFP-Roxas, the victim was alone when the incident happened.

Fire trucks of BFP-Roxas and volunteers of the Capiz Citizens Action Group (CACAG) responded to the fire.

Investigation is ongoing by the BFP arson investigator to ascertain the cause of fire and the extent of damage.
