One dead, another hurt in electrocution incident

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person died while another was injured when the pole they were erecting accidentally touched the live wire of Capiz Electric Cooperative (Capelco) Saturday morning at Brgy. Aranguel Pres. Roxas, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as Edmond Bonayuon, 22, who succumbed to fatal burn injuries, while Romar Bonayuon, 25, suffered minor injuries in different parts of his body.
Investigation by Pres. Roxas Municipal Police Station indicated that the two victims, who are cousins, were helping erect the post of a telecommunications company when the incident happened.
The two were immediately taken to Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra town but Edmund was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
