ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Incumbent Mayor Vicente Bermejo and former Mayor Dante Bermejo filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) on the morning of Oct. 2 for mayor and vice mayor, respectively, in next year’s 2025 midterm elections.
The two are running under the newly formed One Capiz Coalition, along with their candidates for Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members, who also filed their respective COCs with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
The eight SB candidates are:
- Michaella Angela Arches
- Rona Baes
- Nicomedes Balatayo
- Candido Bernales
- Rogelio Besorio
- Henry Bocboc
- Alex Bulquiren
- Calix Relano
Capiz Governor Fredenil Castro, Vice Governor James Mitang Magbanua, 1st District Congressman Emmanuel “Tawi” Billones Sr., board member Thea Faith Reyes, former board member Junjun Billones, and Mr. Paolo Roxas, all of the One Capiz Party, were present during the filing.
