The Oklahoma City Thunder is still the hottest team in the Western Conference, racking up its seventh consecutive win following a 113-99 demolition exhibition of the Sacramento Kings in the ongoing NBA regular season on Nov. 20, 2025.
Stats don’t lie. The Thunder embodied what it meant to be a dominant squad, extending its double-digit win streak to seven straight games since Nov. 8.
The reigning NBA kings are yet to lose in two weeks, pummeling every opponent they faced from both the East and the West by an average lead margin of 20 points.
Although a shaky start enabled Sacramento to inch closer in the first half, the Kings never took a two-point lead and only led by a point in the first quarter.
Every time Sacramento threatened to cap off the first two quarters with scoring runs, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was always ready to play spoiler, scoring back-to-back layups at the end of the opening frame while burying a step-back trey and a fadeaway middy to help the Thunder close the second on a high note.
It was all that the Thunder needed. After a terrific way to cap off the final seconds of the opening half, Oklahoma sprinted its way in the third quarter, mounting its biggest lead of the ball game to 18 points.
Backstopping SGA in Oklahoma’s third-quarter surge was the duo of Chet Holmgren and Luguentz Dort, built from wide-open three-pointers and breakaway layups.
Aside from their scoring artillery, the Thunder also put the clamps on the Kings, holding them to their worst scoring quarter of the game in the third with only 19 points.
Sacramento decided to have its last stand by deploying an all-offensive rotation to start the fourth quarter, but SGA and the rest of the Thunder were able to match its quick fireworks to end the Western Conference battle with another double-digit win.
SGA continued his streak of scoring 30 points or more, erupting for 33 points against the Kings, built on an efficient 12/24 shooting performance from the field.
The reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the league also did the intangibles, tallying eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Meanwhile, Holmgren added 21 markers, seven boards, three blocks, and a steal, while Dort chipped in 14 points, four rebounds, an assist, and a block.
The Thunder will aim for a convincing NBA Cup outing on Nov. 22 against the struggling Utah Jazz, while Sacramento looks to end its skid today against the Memphis Grizzlies.
