A 34-year-old overseas Filipino worker was found dead Tuesday morning, March 3, in Barangay Taft, Tapaz, Capiz, police said.
The victim, identified only by the alias “Jove,” had recently returned from Kuwait and was a resident of Barangay Nayawan, Tapaz, but was temporarily staying in Barangay Taft, according to police.
Police said the victim’s younger sister, identified only by the alias “Jena,” found him lifeless beside his bed.
An initial investigation by the Tapaz police indicated the sister went downstairs from her second-floor room to check on the victim after he had not left his room for several hours.
Police said the victim had a wound on his chest.
Authorities said they are investigating to determine the cause of death.
