Odicta nephew falls in drug sting
A nephew of slain Western Visayas top drug personality was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation afternoon of January 21, 2021 in Jaro district, Iloilo City. Rocky Odicta, 38, a resident of Barangay Tanza-Esperanza, City Proper, Iloilo City, allegedly sold two sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP25,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

A nephew of slain Western Visayas top drug personality was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation afternoon of January 21, 2021 in Jaro district, Iloilo City.
Rocky Odicta, 38, a resident of Barangay Tanza-Esperanza, City Proper, Iloilo City, allegedly sold two sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP25,000 to a police poseur-buyer.
The transaction took place at Jaro plaza around 3:30PM Thursday.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 (PDEA-6) led the operations against the suspect, together with members of the Dumangas Police Station, Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) and Iloilo City Police Station 3.
When frisked, the operatives further seized from Odicta’s pants a candy canister with three more sachets of suspected shabu.
The seized drugs’ street value was pegged at PHP100,000.
Meanwhile, Odicta denied that he was into the illegal drug trading. He also claimed owning the drugs seized from him.
Odicta is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
