Nursing attendant nabbed in drug bust

RIXAS CITY, Capiz – A 39-year-old nursing attendant was arrested Tuesday afternoon in a drug buy-bust at Barangay Inzo Arnaldo here.
Police identified the suspect as Jose Denaga Jr. of Barangay Punta Tabuc here.
According to Police Lieutenant John Mark Jambalos, assistant team leader of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Capiz police, it took almost a month of monitoring and surveillance before they arrested Denaga.
Recovered from the suspect was a sachet of suspected shabu; P6,500 marked money and two cellphones.
Denaga denied he was into the illegal drug trade, but the PDEU claimed that he was on their watch list.
Denaga will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
