Notorious robbery suspect arrested in Roxas gun bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — An alleged notorious robbery suspect was arrested Friday afternoon, May 15, in a gun buy-bust operation on Washington Street in Barangay VI, Roxas City.
Police identified the suspect as Garry Bernales, 50, of Barangay 2, Roxas City.
A police poseur-buyer was able to buy one .38-caliber revolver loaded with two live rounds of ammunition using PHP 4,000 in buy-bust money.
Police also recovered from the suspect two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 102,000.
Police said Bernales is one of the suspects who ransacked several establishments in Roxas City.
The suspect is in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him.
