It was October 2019 when NorthPort Batang Pier superstar Robert Bolick drove hard against the San Miguel Beermen interior then felt a pop in his right knee.
He rolled on the hardwood in pain, grabbed his right knee, then screamed as loud as he could that even the fans in the top bleachers heard him.
He was brought back to the dug-out end never returned.
After an MRI and thorough diagnosis by the NorthPort medical team, Bolick was declared out for 6-8 months due to an ACL injury.
Since then, the Gilas Pilipinas cadet has been eager to get back on the court and play ball, especially that they are always a playoff-contending team with the addition of Christian Standhardinger in their lineup.
After 10 grueling months of waiting to get back into action, Bolick has finally been cleared by the NorthPort medical team and is set to participate in practices.
However, Bolick will only be allowed to participate in non-contact drills, mostly conditioning exercises then later on will progress to joining group sessions.
With Metro Manila reverting to the more-strict Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), the PBA will have to wait for another two weeks before they can return to practice.
