After a roller-coaster career in the past years, Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is ready to prove to everybody that he still belongs among the top-tier bantamweights of the world.
On December 12, 2020, Donaire is set to take on WBC bantamweight champion Nordine Oubaali and will look to become the first professional boxer to rust the latter’s unblemished record.
The French boxing champion will be protecting his 17-0 record against probably the most experienced fighter he will face in his whole career.
Donaire, one of the most explosive bantamweights in the history of boxing, will bank on his power and ring familiarity against the younger Oubaali.
The Filipino slugger already has a resume of 289 total rounds fought in his professional career while Oubaali only has 94.
Despite Donaire’s huge advantage in experience, the Filipino slugger should be careful as Oubaali has youth and power on his side.
Originally slated on April 2020, the bout had to be postponed after the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.
