BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here is competing for the best police provincial office in the country.
This was revealed by Police Lieutenant Judesses Catalogo, officer-in-charge public information officer of Nocppo.
A team from the PNP headquarters led by Police Brigadier General Dexter Rellora, executive officer of Directorate for plans, arrived here last Monday to conduct Field Evaluation and Validation (FEV).
During the team’s visit, Police Colonel Leo Pamittan, Nocppo acting director, presented the accomplishments of the unit both administrative and operational.
After which, the evaluators conducted rank inspection, and also checked the personnel’s uniform, accoutrements and paraphernalia in compliance to Letter of Instruction (LOI) Tamang Bihis Alpha.
The evaluation team also conducted document review to different sections of the provincial police headquarters, and concluded with the execution of Nocppo’s Camp Defense Plan.
A graded demonstration of the unit’s readiness to execute defensive actions in case of enemy attacks to Nocppo was also held as a form of Simulation Exercise (SIMEX).
Those were part of the process in selecting the Best Police Provincial Office in the country.
The awarding rites will be held during the 127th Police Service Anniversary at Camp Crame.
Recently, Nocppo bested other police offices in Western Visayas in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) in Police Regional Office-6, garnering 91.98 percent.
