BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here has sent 19 officers to support the contact tracing team of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
These personnel included 18 licensed nurses and one licensed Radiologic Technologist who came from the provincial headquarters and different police stations in the province.
This was in keeping with the directive of Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, in a bid to stem the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the city.
Police Colonel Romy Palgue, Nocppo’s director, in a statement, said the augmentation can greatly help the BCPO in identifying and isolating the close contacts of positive patients since time is of the essence.
“In the fight against COVID-19, there are no territorial boundaries, thus coordination and collaboration is important,” he added.
We should all work together and be one with God to heal as one, he said.
