Nocppo installs two new police chiefs

BACOLOD City – Two police stations in Negros Occidental have new commanders effective Monday, June 27, 2022.

The turnover rite was led by Police Col. Leo Pamittan, director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) at the provincial headquarters here.

Police Capt. Ryan Villasario, chief of Hinigaran Municipal Police Station; and Police Lt. Col. Robert Petate, chief of Silay City Police Station, were relieved from their posts.

Villasario was replaced by Police Lt. Col. Necerato Sabando Jr., who was previously assigned as chief of the Provincial Human Rights Affairs Office.

According to Police Lt. Abegael Donasco, Nocppo’s public information officer, since Hinigaran town was already classified as Class A municipality, the town police force should be headed by a police officer with a rank of Major or Lt. Col.

But she noted that this is just part of a regular reshuffling.

For Silay City, Petate’s post was assumed by Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, who came from Police Regional Office-6 in Iloilo City.

In his message, Petate said his assignment in Silay City was memorable for him since it was the first time that he was designated as a police chief.

He served the Silay City police force for more than a year.

Petate and Villasario were reassigned to Nocppo headquarters here.

Donasco said that more reshuffling will be implemented next month, as new leaders or administration will assume by July 1.

Pamittan, in his message, reminded the police personnel that they must be dedicated to their jobs.
