Nocppo gets P2.4M worth of equipment

BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental turned over P2.43 million worth of equipment to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) on Tuesday.
Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, Nocppo director, received 30 units of tactical bullet proof vest, ballistic plates, and fast-type ballistic helmets from Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson during the turnover rites held at the Provincial Capitol here yesterday.
According to the provincial government, the said equipment will be distributed to the 1st company of the Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company based at the Nocppo headquarters here.
The mobile force company is tasked with insurgency-related operations, and also being utilized for reinforcement of personnel if there’s insufficiency of manpower in other units.
At present, the first company has 189 personnel, according to Nocppo’s public information office.
