Nocppo commits 43 police nurses to help fight COVID-19
BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has assigned its 43 personnel who are registered nurses to help the other frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has assigned its 43 personnel who are registered nurses to help the other frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
A short send-off program was held at Nocppo headquarters in Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. here on Tuesday.
These police nurses will augment the Provincial Health Office (PHO) to aid medical professionals when the temporary quarantine facility for Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) in E.B. Magalona town becomes operational.

PUIs are persons with signs and symptoms and have travel history to infected areas or exposure to positive cases.
The PHO team held a lecture and workshop in donning and doffing of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prepare the nurses for the battle against COVID-19.
Of the total figure, only 16 will be chosen for deployment.
Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, Nocppo director, assured the PHO that the provincial police is very willing to assist in any way it can in this fight.
He thanked the police nurses who heeded the call in the name of public service.
