Filipino pop-rock band Nobita has joined forces with Yeng Constantino for “Gayuma,” a stirring new ballad released today under Sony Music Entertainment.
Produced by Brian Lotho, the track captures the emotional tension of holding back romantic feelings—caught between the desire to confess and the fear of vulnerability. “Gayuma” paints a portrait of unspoken love, where the lines between genuine affection and enchantment blur.
“The lyrics reflect the uncertainty—wondering if what you’re feeling is real love or something that just feels magical, almost like a spell,” Nobita shared in a press statement. “It’s about secret love, hesitation, and hoping the other person feels the same.”
The song has been in the works for a while. Nobita revealed that the demo had been shelved before the band revisited it and felt something was missing. That missing element? A female voice to add emotional contrast and texture.
“There’s no one more perfect than Ms. Yeng—we’re just so lucky she said yes,” the band said. “Our first meeting was incredibly productive. We exchanged ideas, adjusted the arrangement, and shaped what would become the final version.”
For Yeng Constantino, the collaboration was an instant connection. She was immediately drawn to the melody and insisted the first verse stay true to the original demo. “From the start, I was immersed in the feeling of falling in love,” she said. “Once you step into that emotional space, it becomes difficult to control what you feel—and that vulnerability guided us as we refined the lyrics.”
The result is a soulful duet that showcases both artists at their emotional peak. Yeng’s delicate yet powerful vocals blend seamlessly with Nobita’s earnest delivery, creating a raw yet polished soundscape. Despite the song’s simplicity, its emotional depth resonates strongly.
“Each artist brought their own style and emotional weight,” Nobita added. “Instead of clashing, it created a beautiful balance. Yeng’s voice added a sincerity that elevated the song.”
With Brian Lotho at the helm, the production emphasizes warmth and immediacy—ensuring that every beat and lyric carries emotional impact.
“Gayuma” by Nobita and Yeng Constantino is now available on all major digital music platforms via Sony Music Entertainment.
