No new COVID cases in Capiz for two days

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The province of Capiz recorded zero new cases of COVID-19 on Friday and Saturday.
Based on data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the province has 9,516 confirmed cases since the pandemic hit the country. The number includes 39 active cases, 9,025 recoveries, and 452 deaths.
Despite the declining number of new cases, health officials asked the public not to be complacent and continue to observe health protocols.
The PHO has announced that some 398,562 individuals have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Capiz, including 223,932 fully vaccinated persons.
At present, 168,802 or 29.88% who are not yet vaccinated will be inoculated before the year’s end.
The towns of Pontevedra and President Roxas and Roxas City were among the towns with the highest vaccination rate, while Jamindan has the lowest inoculation rate.
The PHO also started administering booster shots to persons 18 years old and above.
The program was formally launched Friday at the Poolside Pavilion of Villareal Stadium here.
