ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Epal or credit-grabbing will be banned from government projects and properties.
This was the mandate of the first executive order issued by Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas citing Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2019-101.
The DILG memorandum covers elective and appointive officials, permanent or temporary employees in government, including the barangays.
Dadivas said credit-grabbing has no place in public services since taxpayers’ money are being used in projects and services.
The mayor’s order banned the names, images or logos of public officials from billboard, signages, information materials, proposed projects, ongoing or incomplete project, vehicles owned or rented by the government, police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, multi-cabs, barangay vehicles, motor vehicles used in government functions.
The City Engineers Office had been ordered to monitor and implement the executive order and the tear down of the signage and other information materials.
