BACOLOD City – Police continue to run after drug pushers amid the holiday season, leading to the arrest of 19 persons and recovery of P272,285 worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from December 20 to 30.
P132,885 worth of suspected shabu was seized in the province while P139,400 worth of the same contraband was confiscated here in the past 10 days.
Personnel of Police Stations 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8 arrested 10 persons in Barangays 1, 2, 3, 29, 30, and Singcang-Airport here.
Nine individuals were also apprehended in the cities of Cadiz, Kabankalan, Silay, and the towns of Murcia, Ilog, and Binalbagan.
The 19 arrested persons are facing drug charges.
