BACOLOD City – A man tagged as no. 7 on the drugs priority list of the police was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Talubangi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Friday.
The subject was identified as Romy Ame, 36, of the said village, a motorcycle mechanic.
He is a high-value individual, according to the police.
Police recovered from Ame 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000, and P1,000, including the P100 marked money.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Kabankalan City Police Station.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Alvimar Flores, Kabankalan City police chief, said that Ame was arrested for the same offense in June 2019.
He was later released through plea bargaining, Flores added.
Charges for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs are being readied against Ame.
