BACOLOD City – Nineteen persons were busted in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from May 26 to 28, 2022 that led to the confiscation of P373,450 worth of suspected shabu.
The bulk of the drug recovery was reported here, following the operations of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and Police Station 10.
One of the buy-busts here was conducted in Barangay 2, where PDEA raided an alleged drug den, arrested five individuals, and seized P102,000 worth of suspected shabu last Friday.
Another operation was also conducted at the said village, and Barangay Handumanan, with the apprehension of five persons and the recovery of P95,200 worth of the said contraband.
In the province, police arrested nine persons and confiscated P176,250 worth of suspected shabu.
The drug bust operations were conducted in the cities of Sagay, Cadiz, San Carlos, and Himamaylan, and the towns of Cauayan, Isabela, and Ilog.
