BACOLOD City – Five buy-bust operations resulted in the arrest of nine persons, including three minors and a government employee, here and in Victorias City, Negros Occidental from February 9 to 10.
Two male teenagers aged 15 were apprehended by personnel of Police Station 2 at Barangay 2 here last Wednesday.
Police seized from them six sachets of suspected shabu worth P20,000, and the P500 marked money.
Another minor was arrested by personnel of Police Station 3 at Barangay Banago here last Tuesday, while Mark Ryan Pradunueva, 47, escaped during the operation.
Police confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,440, and the P500 marked money.
Also arrested that day by personnel of Police Station 4 in Barangay Villamonte here was 56-year-old Ma Fe Decena after she allegedly yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu worth P34,000, and the P500 marked money.
On the same day, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit – 6 (RPDEU-6) arrested Victor Embarquez, 53, Martin Stuart Solis, 37, and Adriano Serra, 44 at Barangay Punta Taytay.
Police seized from them about 22 grams of suspected shabu which was valued at P142,800. All three suspects are detained at Police Station 9.
In Victorias City, Joefrey Herrera, 23, of Brangay 1, and Teodulfo Armada, 55, of Barangay 6, a government employee, were arrested at Barangay 1, which resulted in the seizure of eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,800, the P300 marked money, and P600.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Rolando Miranda, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, said they will strengthen the campaign against illegal drugs and will conduct operations targeting high value drug personalities in the region.
