BACOLOD City – Nine persons were arrested for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs in four areas here and in Negros Occidental from July 1 to 3, 2020.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Negros Occidental dismantled an alleged drug den at Barangay Bata here yesterday, and arrested six persons in a buy-bust operation.
PDEA agents identified the suspects as Ruben Sause, Raniel Pecardal, Jhonrey Yanson, Jhon Jhon Batusin, Yul Esparagoza, and Analyn Batusin, all residents of the said barangay.
The operation also resulted in the recovery of about 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000.
On July 2, PDEA operatives also conducted a drug bust at Barangay Banago, which led to the arrest of Marc Sotto. Authorities seized from him five grams of suspected shabu.
Sotto is detained at Police Station 3.
Also arrested that day in Sagay City was Salvador Dequito, 39, of Barangay Old Sagay.
Police recovered from him six sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,000, the P500 marked money, and P300 cash.
In Silay City, Andro Medel, 42, of Barangay E. Lopez was apprehended for the same violation last Wednesday.
Police confiscated from him eight grams of suspected shabu worth P54,400, an improvised tooter, lighter, the P500 marked money, and P3,500 boodle money.
