BACOLOD City – Nine persons, including two children, were wounded in a collision between two tricycles at Barangay Manalad, Ilog, Negros Occidental on June 29, 2019.
Police identified the tricycle drivers, who were both injured, as Dominador Aleman, 64, and Jurelyn Ramos, 21, of Himamaylan City.
Also injured were Ramos’s passengers – her cousin Mary Jane Mejedo, 19, and Jemuel Encarnacion, 23, of Cauayan town; and Aleman’s passengers – his wife Felomena, 54, and their two grandchildren aged three and six, daughter Darlen Malacad, 24, and relative Arneldo Toreta, 26, all residents of Sipalay City.
Investigation indicated that Ramos reportedly lost control of her tricycle while she was approaching a road curve and allegedly collided with Aleman’s tricycle past 5 p.m.
Three of the victims were transferred to a hospital here.
