The minor-student was searching for a phone signal beside a cliff when she heard a baby crying, a report from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo) said.
She then went back to their house and told her 26-year-old brother about the baby.
The baby, whose body was covered with soil, was abandoned by an unidentified individual at the said area.
