Just over two months from moving to New Zealand to play for the NZ National Basketball League, former FEU Tamaraw Ken Tuffin has already captured the league’s attention.
The leftie swingman impressed in his NZ NBL debut, providing solid scoring and added defensive tenacity whenever he’s on the floor, even making it into the league’s top five players to surprise.
However, the versatile forward has some decisions to make regarding his future after New Zealand coach Pero Cameron selected Tuffin to be a part of the NZ basketball squad that will compete for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Before Tuffin’s inclusion for the New Zealand team, he was already selected by coach Chot Reyes as a part of the 23-man Gilas Pilipinas team that is expected to compete in all FIBA qualifiers.
As of now, Tuffin has not released any statement as to what would be his decision and commitment in choosing between Gilas and the New Zealand team.
The 6’4’’ former FEU team captain just helped his team, the Taranaki Mountanairs, in advancing to the NZ NBL semifinals.
