Four new faculty members will serve as vice-chancellors under the incoming administration of Chancellor Clement C. Camposano which will start on November 1, 2020. They are the following:
Dr. Philip Ian Padilla is a physician and Professor of Microbiology and Public Health trained in Nagasaki, Japan. He has extensive policy experience in academic affairs as the current Chair of the Division of Biological Sciences, former NIMBB director, and former UP Faculty Regent. He is also a multi-awarded faculty member for his public service work. He will be Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Prof. John Lorenz R. Belanio is a faculty member of the College of Management, and serving as current College Secretary. He holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and has been teaching courses in Information Technology, Management Science, Operations Management, and Entrepreneurship for the past 21 years. He has extensive experience in supervisory and administrative roles in the fields of MIS and business incubation centers. He will be Vice-Chancellor for Administration.
Dr. Harold Monteclaro is an Associate Professor of Marine Fisheries trained in Kagoshima, Japan. He is the outgoing Director of the Institute of Fisheries Policy and Development Studies. An active researcher, he has authored several journal publications and book chapters and provided technical assistance to local and national agencies. He will be Vice-Chancellor for Research and Extension.
Dr. Rhodella A. Ibabao is a faculty member of the Urban and Regional Planning program and is a licensed Environmental Planner trained in Christchurch, New Zealand. She was the former Director of the UPV Office of Continuing Education and Pahinungod (OCEP). She is actively engaged in the scholarly and professional practice of planning.
