As far as personnel performance is concerned, newly installed Police Regional Office 6 acting regional director Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said he would start on a clean slate.
That is why, “I won’t implement reshuffling of personnel unless the order will come from the National headquarters,” he said.
In a press conference on Monday, Tuaño said he would give no timeline as far as the performance of commanders is concerned.
“Kahit bad shot ka sa previous commander, basta sa akin, back to zero ka,” he said.
Tuaño said he will observe and make his own assessment.
Meanwhile, the new PRO-6 chief assured that he will continue the good work of his predecessor, Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan.
“Ipagpapatuloy ko ang Magandang nasimulan n’ya. Nakakahiya naman kung tatapatan lang natin ang mga nagawa n’ya,” he said.
Tuaño, the former Philippine National Police spokesperson, was designated as PRO-6 chief effective May 22.
Ligan was subsequently designated as deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Operations.
