The new set of officers of the Iloilo-Guimaras Information Officers Association (IGIOA) took their oath before Governor Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. on March 30, 2021.
Newly-elected president Gina Aris of the local government unit of Lambunao led the new set of officers.
Joining Aris during the oath taking are the following officers: Emerson Franco of Anilao, secretary; Gary Bibanco of Cabatuan, assistant secretary; Chester Larroder of Calinog, auditor; and Jerry Anas of Leganes and Erlyn Alunan of San Joaquin.
Lucy Sinay of Iloilo City was elected vice president and Leizl Galan-Gatinao of the Province of Guimaras as treasurer.
Witnessing the oath taking were Philippine Information Agency 6 Regional Head Jemin Guillermo and PIA Iloilo OIC Lilibeth A. French.
Guillermo thanked Defensor for administering the oath of the new officers of IGIOA who are strong partners of the PIA in disseminating accurate, timely and relevant information as well as in communicating the initiatives, programs and services of the government to the public. (PIA)
