Neighbors save sickly elderly from burning house

ROXAS City, Capiz – Residents of Sitio Hangside, Brgy. Hanglid in Pres. Roxas, Capiz saved their neighbor from certain death evening of Dec 17, 2021.

Thelma Arboleda, 80, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, was lucky after her neighbors helped quell the fire that almost gobbled her house around 7:55 p.m.

The neighbors quickly evacuated Arboleda and her son Carlo, 52, from the burning house.

The Fire Protection (BFP) of President Roxas said the fire was already out when they arrived.

Arson investigators reported that a candle placed on the table may have caused the fire.
