BACOLOD City – Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), has warned the public to never get deceived by scammers.
Baleros issued the warning after he received reports about a person or group of persons allegedly pretending to be him and asking for cellphone load.
Last Tuesday, a contractor and a government official were duped into giving P5,000 worth of cellphone load in separate instances to persons who pretended to be Baleros.
Baleros said he never and will never ask for cellphone load.
“I won’t tolerate such act,” he added.
He advised the public not to entertain calls and messages from any individual using his name for personal agenda.
