BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Acting Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer on Wednesday said the Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved a P15-million funding for the gratuity pay of the 1,736 Capitol employees.
Ferrer said the budget was approved during their last regular session for 2022 on Dec. 27.
The 1,735 employees are under Contract of Service (CoS) and Job Order (JO) workers of the provincial government.
Ferrer said CoS and JO workers will receive as much as P5,000, depending on their length of service.
On top of the gratuity pay, the CoS and JO workers earlier received gift packs of rice, canned goods, and spaghetti, which came from the personal funds of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.
Regular, casual, and plantilla workers of the provincial government also received an additional bonus of P50,000 each, on top of the Performance Based Bonus they are expecting to receive in January next year.
