Recognizing the immediate needs of the community, Negros Power distributed essential supplies to approximately 1,000 residents across four barangays: Maao, Mailum, Ilijan, and Binubuhan. The aid included bottled water, a critical necessity in the wake of the disaster, and face masks to shield residents from harmful ash particles.
“We are struggling with a shortage of clean water, especially for our infants,” said Barangay Mailum Kagawad Rola Sanico. “We are so grateful for this help. Many residents can breathe easier now, knowing they have access to clean water and face masks.”
