Negros Power marks second anniversary with blood drive
Negros Electric and Power Corp. held a blood donation drive on Aug. 3, 2026, as part of its second anniversary celebration and commitment to community service.
The activity, carrying the anniversary theme “Stronger Together,” was conducted at the company’s main office from 9 a.m. to noon.
Negros Power organized the bloodletting activity in partnership with the Negros First Provincial Blood Center.
Employees voluntarily donated blood to help replenish the province’s supply and support patients requiring life-saving transfusions.
The medical team of the Negros First Provincial Blood Center facilitated the activity and ensured that health and safety protocols were observed throughout the donation process.
Negros Power said the initiative represented more than the celebration of another corporate milestone.
The company said the activity embodied the “Stronger Together” theme by demonstrating how employees could collectively make a difference beyond the workplace.
The blood drive also reflected the company’s efforts to promote compassion, volunteerism, and community well-being alongside its responsibility to provide reliable electric service.
Negros Power thanked its employee-volunteers for their generosity and willingness to donate blood, noting that each donation could help save lives.
The company also expressed appreciation to the Negros First Provincial Blood Center for its partnership in conducting the activity.
The blood center is among the government facilities supporting blood services in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental and forms part of the Negros Island Region’s blood services network.
Negros Power began operating as the electricity distribution utility for its service area in August 2024 following a joint venture with Central Negros Electric Cooperative, which had more than 220,000 active consumer accounts.
The company has since incorporated medical, environmental, and other community programs into its anniversary activities, including a surgical mission during its first anniversary celebration in 2025.
Negros Power said initiatives such as the blood drive demonstrate that its responsibility goes beyond energizing homes and businesses to extending hope, strengthening communities, and saving lives.
